Angela Evelyn Bassett, an American actress is well known for her roles in film and television since the late 1980s. The actress has won numerous accolades including two Golden Globe Awards, and 16 NAACP Image Awards. She is known for her roles in film and television from the mid-80s onwards, she has received various accolades such as two Golden Globe Awards and sixteen NAACP Image Awards in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett is a native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She was brought up in Winston-Salem North Carolina by her aunt following her birth in New York New York, is an acclaimed actress. When Bassett was around five the family relocated into St. Petersburg, Florida to live with their mother, who was separated from their father. Bassett saw James Earl Jones in John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men play as she was still in highschool and realized that she was an actor and would like to be doing. She attended Yale University New Haven Connecticut earning a bachelor's diploma (1980) in African American studies and a master's degree (1983) from the Yale School of Drama. Courtney B. Vance met her at Yale, and in 1997 they were married. Qualification: B.A. Degree in African-American Studies in 1980. Masters in Fine Arts from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett plays Ramonda as one of the main parts in the action film i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
